Art Has No Rules: Creating Art Your Own Way Without Limits

Art is everything and anything you want it to be. Creating art your own way is a manifestation of your creative skill and imagination. Let it flourish.

As someone whose life revolves around art, I believe that creating art your own way is essential for an individual to fully embrace creativity and imagination without fear. Fear kills creativity. When enclosing yourself in a box where you are creating art, you are limiting yourself.

You are hiding from a limitless empire of pure artistry. The empire I speak of clenches upon more than you can ever imagine. Your power to create art is bound by no rules but by your own hands and mind to imagine a vision and make that vision come to life.

You Are the Ruler of Your Own Art

Has there ever been a time when someone judged your art and even gave you advice (you don’t even need it) to make it look “better”?

The thing is, they don’t desire for your art to be “better,” but rather, they itch to give you unsolicited advice to make it “acceptable.”

I am a painter myself, and among all the mediums I have tried, I lean more toward oil painting, particularly fixating on semi-realism portraits with a touch of surrealism. As an artist who loves painting faces, I always paint my portraits with their noses bleeding and their cheeks intensely red.

Some viewers would apparently find it odd that the noses are bleeding in a bunch of my paintings. I get judged quite often about why I always do this or when I could just simply not incorporate it.

Personally, I love the look of it, and I find it aesthetically pleasing. And to be honest, there’s no hidden message behind why I paint my portraits that way. It’s just the way it is, and I am the creator, so I have full control over my art. I am creating art my own way.

There’s no harm in respecting their opinions on your art, but it is how you let it consume and affect you. This a reminder to not react negatively but accept what they say and simply release—let go.

You Don’t Always Have to Explain Your Art

Some would say that to make an art significant, it must have a significant meaning behind it.

This is not true for everyone, but I couldn’t care less about what others say. Anyway, the reality is that not all artworks have some sort of magnificent and mysterious meaning behind them. Some artists just create art—why? Because they want to and they feel like creating an artwork. Of course, other artists also love to link their art with a thrilling fire, and that’s also because they just want to do that.

It’s different for every artist. Creativity and imagination in every artist’s mind embraces art uniquely.

Just because your art doesn’t have meaning doesn’t make it insignificant. After all, art is art. You can do anything with it without limits.

Oh, and art has no rules. You can create whatever you want in your own way.

Fabricating a New Life Out of Art

Each time you create a work of art, it’s as though you’re bringing a new life into the world. Just as a living creature grows and evolves, your artwork takes on a life of its own, changing and developing with time.

Creating art has plenty of benefits, and these are some of the most significant that I could think of.

– Art combats mental decline, boosting problem solving and memory.

Art Is Whatever You Want It to Be

I hope this article will help you come out of your box as an artist or, better yet, throw the box in the trash where it belongs.

Remember, creating art your own way allows full freedom of creativity and imagination. Create whatever you want as long as it does not harm or disrespect anyone. Do not fear imperfections and errors when creating art because, in the first place, you can do no wrong in art. There are no rules and limitations.

Art is whatever you want it to be! Be creative and let art flourish how you want it to be.
