Owning a children’s book about friendly monsters will help any child understand that the image they see on the surface isn’t all that important and that the ones we think are monsters could be our friends.

Norma Fleagane, author of “Sneaky the Hairy Mountain Monster: How I Lost My Parents,” provides a great example of one of the best children’s books with great illustrations kids will enjoy that tells kids not to judge a person by how they look. There’s certainly a need for more stories like the ones that Norma wrote.

If you’re looking for those types of children’s books, then you’ve come to the right place because I made a list that I’m pretty excited to share with you!

A green creature named Sneaky with three eyes inhabits the dense forest close to Blake James’ grandparents’ home. The fictional character Sneaky has been the subject of several novels that have been created and published. You can read them by yourself or with other readers.

The author wants the reader to be intrigued and wonder about the character. In their search for Sneaky, Blake James and his cousin Makayla discover the truth about Sneaky’s parents.

Many of the questions children pose are addressed by the author of “Sneaky the Hairy Mountain Monster: How I Lost My Parents” in her book. From what I have read thus far, the author expertly creates a dynamic conversation between a parent and a youngster. Oh, and this is also the sixth book that Norma has published.

This is just another fantastic read-aloud. It’s the kind that’s so lively and enjoyable that you might not want to sit down and read it to your child right before bed. The idea is straightforward: You must figure out how to free the monster in this picture book before they start laughing too much.

YouTube star and author Tom Fletcher delivered such a brilliant children’s book in this one. The illustrations and stories readers will find in the books are awesome and beautiful. It’s also a very interactive book as you, the reader, witness the naughty monster happily chew the walls as if they were crackers, tear through the book pages, and engage a child’s imagination in the silliest of ways.

Now, I know this doesn’t make the book sound like it’s a children’s book about friendly monsters, but trust me, it is. Like Norma Fleagane’s story, “There’s a Monster in Your Book,” is about a funny children’s book starring a silly, lovable monster.

This one is for the parents because, let’s face it, putting a monster to bed is no easy task. Now, let’s not get this twisted; I’m not saying that children are monsters, especially when it comes to bedtime. However, it can sometimes be very difficult to make kids sleep.

Denise Vega and Zachariah Ohora tackle this subject through the story and illustrations found within the pages of this book. They follow the story of a young girl and the challenges she faces as she persistently tries to put her monster to sleep.

Kids and parents are guaranteed to have a hearty laugh with this one, all thanks to the author’s story and the illustrator’s colorful illustrations. “If Your Monster Won’t Go to Bed” is one of the best bedtime stories to help tuck a child in and aid in making them get the zzz’s they need.
