Miracles start breaking out

Miracles are inexplicable events that go beyond natural and scientific laws. They can involve healing a patient with stage 4 cancer, surviving a massive shipwreck, or finally conceiving after being told they are infertile.

Many Christian stories of faith talk about how blessings or answers to our prayers may come as miracles. The hands of God inevitably cause miracles for those lucky few.

However, while many people are fixated on this concept of miracles to change one’s life, we fail to see the beauty of everyday miracles.

This begs the question, “What do everyday miracles mean? Can we truly experience something so drastic every day?”

We have become so accustomed to the idea that miracles have to be significant and life-changing that we fail to see the simple everyday miracles we experience. The sun rising in the morning, the roof that stands strong above our heads, our heart continually pumping the blood that courses through our veins, and the birth of a child are examples of everyday miracles that we take for granted.

How Do We Learn to Appreciate the Beauty of Everyday Miracles?

Be Observant

Paying attention to the little things is the first step to appreciating everyday miracles. Of course, you can never enjoy something you do not notice to have. Observe how things fall into place, how others treat you, and the support of the people around you. These are just some ways to appreciate the beauty of everyday miracles.

Savor Each Everyday Miracle

Remember that when miracles are given to us, we should take a moment to taste them. Whether we take a deep breath or close our eyes to focus on our favorite song, make each moment last to remind us that the Lord has graced us with bountiful blessings.

Reminisce the Misfortunes

As Passenger perfectly depicted, “You only need the light when it’s burning low. You only miss the sun when it starts to snow. ” We fail to notice everyday miracles when we do not remember what we have gone through. Can you recall a time when there was no electricity in your home? This will remind you of the everyday miracle of electricity funneled into our homes.

Express Gratitude

Gratitude goes to great lengths because it reminds you of the beauty of everyday miracles that make our lives so much easier but also helps remind others that they have made a tremendous difference in our lives.

Sometimes, we have accustomed ourselves to certain people and, over time, take them for granted. Each life we are surrounded by is a miracle that touches how we view and experience the world around us. Expressing our gratitude through a simple thank you reminds both us and them of this miracle.

Okay, They Exist. So What Do Everyday Miracles Mean for Us?

Experiencing everyday miracles and learning to appreciate them helps us realize that there is more to life than meets the eye. For one, it reminds us that we have much to be grateful for. Instead of constantly comparing ourselves to others, we realize that we are already blessed.

Moreover, realizing that we experience the beauty of everyday miracles helps strengthen our faith. Yes, we learn to thank God, but it reaffirms that he is real and lies around us. Experiencing everyday miracles reminds us that we are lucky to be alive, and we must do something to glorify God’s righteousness and act in and for His Greater Glory so as not to waste it.

Remember that the beauty of everyday miracles is not necessarily their unexpectedness but how they inspire us to take action. Instead of waiting for a miracle, we humans were given free will to choose the right path.

Instead of just waiting for a miracle, learn to be grateful of the everyday miracles we experience and steer your life towards the light.

This way, we become more aware and ultimately understand how our actions can become miracles for others, reminding us of our paths towards righteousness and how they affect our path in our lives after death.
